Topazes are typically yellow, and not very attractive or flattering. I often thought it would be a horrible curse to be born in November and have to have that as my birthstone. Then I discovered the Blue Topaz and found I was a little jealous of the November babies. Oh well, maybe I’ll have a November baby of my own one day and can get a Blue Topaz in my mother’s ring.

Granted, I would give it to a child that is old enough to appreciate its value. The thickness of the band makes it durable and overall it looks like it would stand the test of time. Pandora has a peerless reputation when it comes to quality and whimsy and I think this ring fits the bill.

I would give it as a thirteen year old birthday gift. That’s the perfect age really to introduce a young lady to the finer things. Better to instill her with a sense of worth before she starts dating. You want a potential, far in the future, son-in-law to know the value of your little girl.
